What really gets me is we have all these laws to prevent exactly this but when I party decides the law does not matter only their advantage does and refuses to enforce it on their own members it ends up being useless. Its funny because my state and metro is known for corruption. Its a bit like florida man though. florida man is well known due to laws that require details of all arrests to be made public so every crazy thing gets publicized. Similarly man politicians in my state and city have been investigated, tried, and sentenced. So there is tons about the corruption because it was stopped whereas states and localities that are so entrenched in corruption that none is so much as investigated do not get the reputation. Im proud my state likely has had more govenors serve time than any other.
