Obviously reporting transphobic comments to a transphobic mod isn't going to result in any action, so I'm wondering if the admins are going to do anything about it?

separate but equal is not an ethical solution

But isn't this how sport already is? Do you think gender restrictions should be removed from sport altogether?

I don't think a trans-only league makes any sense, but I'm just curious about your stance.

Are black people forced to play in their own separate league? Why not?

[–] Kacarott@aussie.zone 0 points 2 months ago (1 children)

No they aren't, but there is a separate women's league for most sports. So again, I'm wondering if you find that unethical?

? I was confused by your statement "separate but equal is not ethical" because it's what we already do in sports, so I wanted to ask about it. I already stated that I don't think a separate league for trans people is a good idea, if that's why you are refusing to answer me.

Why is it unethical to separate sports leagues by race

[–] Kacarott@aussie.zone 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Because segregation is historically driven by racist motivations such as attempting to prevent different races from interacting.

Why is it ethical to separate sports leagues by gender?

I believe it is self evident, while you are the one claiming that separate but equal is not ethical, which is in contradiction to this.

That separating leagues by gender is ethical

[–] fadingembers@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 2 months ago (1 children)

When I say separate but equal is unethical I am referring to trans people being treated as separate from their gender, which they are not

[–] Kacarott@aussie.zone 2 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Ah! This entire time I thought it meant separate but equal leagues in sport being unethical.

That makes much more sense now

It is very difficult in these times to tell when someone is asking questions in good faith. I'm glad we were able to clear things up.

Yes thanks for sticking with me
