Democrats getting blamed for not fixing Republican fuck-ups.
Truly a tale as old as time.
Yeah, and what's truly exasperating is how many bothsiderists/centrists, the "liberal media" and many leftists help the Republicans in affixing this blame on the Democrats...
And democrats giving everyone a reason to not vote for them. Turnip didn't win the last election, the dems gave it away.
If only Kamala had promised everyone a pony I would have been motivated to go out and vote against fascism.
She really should have. Trump had no shame lying about everything. You can't counter that. After the election is over, you can point out the lies but by then it's too late.
There is no downside to lying because the mainstream press is fully right wing.
Well, except the media will put a laser focus on any mistakes Democrats make, nevermind any brazen lying. They will fact check a Biden stutter, for example, or do endless exposes on Hillary's emails.
When a Republican does, well, just whatever they want, really, including incredible amounts of brazen lying, it's just expected.
The Democrats are expected to be as pure as the driven snow, otherwise it's a steady drumbeat of criticism for them from the "liberal media" (and the batshit insanely RW media, too).
Exactly. The mainstream press is right wing. They're going to cover anything a Dem does that could be considered a lie. But it's after the election.
The new model has to be to win at all costs.
I am not disagreeing with you, but it definitely was because the Dems refused to clean up after Cheeto Benito.
Not just that but they wanted to diehard hold on to the Israeli genocide machine no matter the cost, including the election ... even though everyone screamed at them to let go in exchange for a vote.
I have no idea why everyone in power in America no matter the party has such a hardon for Israel and perpetual war in the Middle East.
Not supporting Isreal would had cost votes too.
It seemed to me that on the one hand, internationally, idiots like Bibi and Putin were emboldened by Trump and then both of them just hid behind the status quo - that the Dems won't touch - long enough that the shit they started tanked Biden's presidency.
Also, the whole political class in the US is just too old to try to adapt to stuff. Another news article is calling out the Dems for "failing to keep up" with 83 year old Trump.
