Oh joy! I recently discovered that by installing the Collaboro app on my phone, I can much more easily use my SOTD spreadsheet from NextCloud. It's very buggy in a phone browser, but this works as expected and is a great replacement for Google Sheets.

Thus, my journey of self-hosting things takes a step in the right direction.

Speaking of which, we have a Nixplay digital frame that shows pictures of our kid. The grandparents also have one. Starting April 21st, it won't show pictures from Google Photos anymore (without a subscription). This is classic enshitification.

Fortunately for me, I have a Raspberry Pi hooked to an old computer monitor that shows pictures from Immich (a Google Photos replacement). Unfortunately for the grandparents, they'll have to pay $20/yr. for the privilege.
