My non-vote literally had no impact, clearly. If Trump won the presidency by one vote I guess I’d feel bad. But I live in a deep blue state, so it didn’t matter even more.
For me I felt more compelled to send a clear message that the Dems need to do better, and I wasn’t compelled that Kamala was better. It’s not my responsibility to blindly vote for the party and, as a result, be complicit with things I don’t support. I knew if Trump won (I figured he would), it would be the Dem party who was to blame.
And it seems I wasn’t alone, and those of us who sat out the vote were seen. My hope has always been it will be reflected upon and change will come as a result.
So no, I feel literally no responsibility for Trump winning.
That post is another example that liberals would kill themselves and everyone else surrounding them over embracing a different political ideology that can actually help them in the long run.
