I have known and been subjected to far too many people like him to be blind to their shit. He knows what he's doing, he doesn't care. He cares about his public image and his money. Full stop.
He wanted to trash Billet on the air because he's a narcissist, and it feels good for him to exert his power and watch others suffer. If you know the patterns, if you're familiar with the red flags, his tone switch when he says no one should buy Billet's cooler is all too telling.
