One of my favourite things about No Man's Sky is how it's almost scientifically designed to alienate (no pun intended) chuds. Everyone is a they/them. The spacesuits are big bulky not-remotely-form-fitting things. No human faces are ever visible. You have vast free appearance-customization options from the instant a new game starts. And one of the cheapest upgrades for both your spacesuit's jetpack and your starship is a sparkling rainbow engine trail. It's the most platonically-queer game ever.

Also, the colours on so many worlds are very evocative of colourful pride flags. This ain't your grey on grey-on-grey military shooter. The game has the visual aesthetic of classic sci-fi novel covers with a million colours. I really did find a world where the planet's grasslands are basically a vast bisexual-pride flag!
