Don't mistake the Iraq War being a clusterfuck that the US exploited under the Bush regime for ideological and corruption purposes with Saddam's regime being something that Iraqis were mourning to see go.
Hmm... I'm sceptical because it doesn't show the actual poll results (what % expressed optimism in 2003?) and it just says "many" Iraqis expressed optimism not even most but I'll give you the point there was some optimism briefly
