Kepler_L2 has raised the warning bells that a potential Xbox console that holds multiple storefronts will have to cost $ 1000 and above.

Welcome to PC gaming, console players.

Only with more steps in between.

That price point might as well just get you to buy a prebuilt or save some money by buying the parts individually and building it yourself. Throw on a free Linux distro that gives you that console feel.

Any particularly recommended? I started dabbling in Linux recently and trying to find one I really like.

A lot of people have been recommending Bazzite recently. It’s like SteamOS in a lot of ways and focused heavily on gaming.

SteamOS is unofficially available as well now but you’ll run into issues if you have Nvidia GPU like me.

I’ve heard Pop!_os being good for gaming too, and while I’ve used it, I didn’t use it for gaming.

This site has 11 that it recommends for distros that are good for gaming. But I question some like Ubuntu because I mean you can game but it’s not gaming focused https://itsfoss.com/linux-gaming-distributions/
