A gaming community free from the hype and oversaturation of current releases, catering to gamers who wait at least 12 months after release to play a game. Eaaaaasily the Dreamcast, even though I think I was the only person I knew that had one. I think I had:

  • Shenmue
  • Power Stone
  • Soulcalibur
  • Quake III Arena
  • Skies of Arcadia
  • Capcom vs SNK
  • Timestalkers
  • Sonic Adventure
  • Phantasy Star Online

Stellar lineup. I also loved my PlayStation.

Oh yeah the Dreamcast! Never saw a console with such a quirky lineup. My favorites were

  • Rez
  • Tokyo Xtreme Racer
  • Cosmic Smash
  • Crazy Taxi
  • House of the Dead
  • Space Channel 5 (right left chu chu chu!)

I'm really happy most of these games are available on Steam. Rez in VR is amazing (and Tetris Effect, made by the same team I think).

I would love to see a modern Power Stone game made

God, me too. I don't understand why 'arena fighters' in that style just seemed to fall off the face of the earth.
