Wo wir noch ein Farblaser hatten musste ich einmal Gelb holen für jede zweite Kartusche schwarz. Das liegt an den tracking dots. Die Qualität der Laserdrucker ist ja so unfassbar gut (/s), dass die Hersteller damit Falschgeld etc zurückverfolgen wollten. Tintenstrahldrucker haben das nicht, also zumindest mein Epson Ecotank nicht.

Man kann in den Druckeinstellungen den Schwarz-Weiss-Modus erzwingen, dann wird garantiert nur schwarz, und eventuell etwas gelb , benutzt.

Just checked it out and it seems that Playtron is yet another Linux distro for gamers. I just can't see how this can be monitized. How do they plan to get users away from Windows, SteamOS or even Bazzite?

Well, they have to pay licensing fees for the media, pay crazy money for the IT infrastructure, which they have no matter how many downloads.

Both GNOME and KDE are first-class DEs in Fedora - stability is a non issue. You can install both if you want and select your choice at the login screen to just switch back and forth. The only thing you might want to keep in mind is that both have their own prpgrams, like file managers for example, so you'll have two programs for the same task.

Performance is a wash, really, with a halfway modern setup. Your browser will be consuming way more resources than the desktop by far.

Compatibility is also a non issue nowadays, both implement the Freedesktop standard and are fully compatible with each other.

I'm pretty sure that the installer is the same for all major spins.

I installed Bluefin on my mother's laptop and it's like a Chromebook for her. She just wants to surf and consume media, and the OS stays solid and out of they way.

I've been considering getting refills to reduce my plastic consumption, which means I would have to print master spools with PLA or PETG.

Because I don't consume my filament quickly enough, I got the Sunlu S2 filament dryer, which heats up the filament to 50-60C.

My question is: would it be OK to put a master spool in the dryer, or could it potentially deform?

Ob die Ziele der AFD mit denen der gesamte Wählerschaft übereinstimmen bezweifle ich. Da sind bestimmt einige Protestwähler die sind kaum mit den richtigen Inhalte beschäftigen wollen. Die da oben sind doof, alles scheisse, früher war besser, usw.

Oder finden die das zB alle super, dass die AFD Bürgergeld und Sozialhilfen kürzen wollen?

Flashforge Adventurer 3 hangs after booting up - but only when online (lemmy.ml)

I've been using a rebranded Flashforge Adventurer 3 (it's actually a Bresser Rex that I got 50% off at Aldi) and have been really happy with it. The build volume is a bit smallish, but for most of what I'm doing it's fine.

So today I boot it up and after a while, it just hangs after a minute or so. I switched it on and off, did a factory reset, tried disconnecting mains for a while, nothing helped. Also checked my DNS blocker to see if some internet requests were getting blocked.

But what did work - weirdly enough - was to deactivate wireless. It's a small nuisance copying files over via USB, but one I can live with. At least I can continue printing!

I've seen that searxng has been recommended here, and after trying it out I was so impressed that I spun up a docker container on my Unraid box. Opensearch works fine with public instances, but I can't get it to work with my container. I'm using the official docker image. Is there something I should watch out for?

I set the instance name, and passed environment variables with SEARXNG_URL and SEARXNG_BIND_ADDRESS.

Mein Schwiegervater ist recht sportbegeistert - zumindest, wenn es um das Schauen geht. Kürzlich habe ich mitbekommen, dass er auch zu Baseballspiele geht. Da ich auch mal in der Schule Baseball gespielt habe und es eigentlich ganz cool fand, bin ich mal mit.

Und da habe ich gelernt, dass unsere Stadt eine Bundesliga-Mannschaft hat, die sogar 2 Mal Meister war. Was die Zuschauerzahl betrifft, erübrigt sich ein Vergleich zu Fußball ganz klar. Allerdings hätte ich nicht gedacht, dass Bundesligaspiele bei Damenvolleyball sogar viel größer sind. Erster Eindruck: es ist mehr los an einem Fussballspielfest mit unserem Kleinen.

Es waren vielleicht 300 Leute da. Die gegnerische Mannschaft hat den Parkplatz mit ihren Wohnwagen zugestellt. Es gab Fritten und Würstchen, und ein Stand mit Kaffee und Kuchen (bestimmt von den Vereinsmitgliedern gespendet).

Aber ganz ehrlich? Alles völlig egal! Ich will nicht sagen es waren entschleunigende drei Stunden, aber Baseball ist schon eine recht gemütliche Sportart. Den Abend habe ich genossen, und würde es gerne wiederholen.

Jetzt aber zur eigentlichen Frage: welche Randsportarten habt ihr kennengelernt oder frönt ihr aktiv?
