People talk about artsy movies being overly pretentious but to me the most overly pretentious arts are those weird fashion shows where French models wear plastic trash bags for some kind of statement. Maybe I’m not smart enough to understand
As near as I can figure out the clothes in fashion shows all look weird because the designers are greatly exaggerating ideas they want to incorporate in to mass production clothes. Like th fashion show clothes aren't what the finished product will look like, but the finished product will incorporate scaled down, more practical features taken from the show clothes.
No idea if that's the case or not, though.
