It's not a lie, though, the official minimum salary in Venezuela is 5USD, but they keep it low so they don't have to raise thing that retirement and other kind of shit, which would trigger an increase in a lot of other areas, but no one lives with that. It's just something you don't know unless you live in Venezuela I guess.
