The tense relationship between Wagner PMC and the Russian MoD (particularly given Defense Minister Shoigu's cozy relationship with Wagner competitor Patriot PMC) continues to be a thorn in the side of this campaign from the perspective of any intellectually-honest observer.

It was a mistake to allow mercenary groups and their accompanying corruption to thrive in the Russian Federation.
