I just got an email from Mastadon about Threads federating. I closed my Mastadon account about 5 minutes after joining.

I received an email about threads and Mastadon a bit ago. The thing is I deleted my Mastadon account a hot minute after I created it. The email has no way to unsubscribe from it 
I would like to be comforted that I’m overthinking this. My Mastadon account was a couple of years ago in both creation and deletion. It’s incredibly disconcerting.
Already done but more concerned about my data having been stored and no way to ask to have it removed directly. Thank you for your response though. I’m in the UK and the right to be removed from their mailing list is the very least a business related email is supposed to offer.
You won't have to worry about your data. Mastodon is cool.
Considering they deleted their account years ago but they kept their contact data: yes, they should worry.
