What is a comet that can only deal up to 300 damage. Laughable.
Honestly, a pretty good answer is that if the lower damage bound is 30, the "comet" just isn't that big really.
Lower bound is actually 15 on successful saving throw.
I've never seen a PC with more than 200hp
