Stupid headline makes it sound like he sold his stake @ Β£1bn. The team was valued at 1bn, the shares sold were a minority fraction of shares and Stroll retains both majority ownership and control.

I think the use of valuation at the end helps salvage the meaning a little. Considering titles are supposed to be as short as possible, this was a good attempt

"Owner sells stake at valuation" can easily be "owner sells partial/minority/percentage of stake at valuation" they know what they were doing.

The title is intentionally misleading instead of being short and accurate
