Gay: News, Memes and Discussion
Welcome to /c/Gay - Your LGBTQ+ Haven
We're more than just a community; we're your haven for celebrating LGBTQ+ culture and connecting with like-minded individuals.
Community Rules:
~ 1. No bigotry. Hating someone off of their race, culture, creed, sexuality, or identity is not remotely acceptable. Mistakes can happen but do your best to respect others.
~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.
~ 4. Keep it LGBTQ+ related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.
~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love posts but 3-4 in an hour is plenty enough.
~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.
~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon' and fuck over our artist friends.

No. It is not. It is saying what I said. If you are coming at this from a place of genuine ignorance then no one is going to be upset. You do not get to say "it is unconvincing" when the thing you're claiming is unconvincing simply didn't exist. I'm going to ask you this once. Do not shove words into other peoples throats and assume what they are saying. As for clarification. I am not appreciative of having a stance forced on me that I did not make at any point. The only thing you could try and argue that for (and fail the argument of) is the bit about false information from bigots. You are conflating me saying bigots with everyone who is confused by the situation. That is a you problem. Not a me problem. i'm not saying that everyone is confused or ignorant is a bigot. I am specifically saying that bigots are bigots. If you have an issue with that then you need to look internally before you start accusing others of anything.
And? Completely and utterly irrelevant to the situation at hand unless you're trying to argue that being transgendered is a mental illness. That would be transphobia and would result in you gaining a permanent ban from this community and likely from the instance as a whole, as others in this thread have discovered. That isn't a threat. It is a fact. I'm not trying to muscle you or overpower you or be big boss man. I'm trying to say that the behavior is repugnant because it isn't true and pushes a genuinely dangerous narrative that puts others in harms way. For that reason, it is completely unacceptable.
Yes. There is also a correlation between skirt length and the strength of the economy. However, it is completely worthless information that is not of any value to anyone as correlation does not equal causation. Ever think that the reason that trans folks are dealing with higher than normal levels of depression, anxiety and other levels of mental health issues are because of people who keep conflating being trans with having a mental disorder? They have mental health issues because people keep giving them mental health issues by not allowing them to exist. Here's a shocker but kids who are actually listened to as a kid and brought up healthily as a trans kid and provided that gender affirming care I mentioned before? They end up having lower levels of mental health problems. Why? Because they had a stable support network of parents who listened to them and cared about them instead of trying to force their child to be something else because of their own mistaken beliefs on something they don't understand.
Your feelings are irrelevant. You want to protect your kids? Then let your kids be themselves and stop trying to enforce and impose things upon them that are causing more damage than them being trans ever has.
Your feelings do not matter. I don't like the fact that the world sucks and I'm going to die younger than I should because of health problems but tough titties. The world is the way that it is. What you feel is the truth does not matter. The truth is the truth. Pull your head out of your ass. Start listening to people who proven in their field and have the medical science to back it up and who are supported by the majority in their field, not the minority who claim nonsense. Vaccines don't cause autism and being trans isn't a mental health disorder. Why? Because there is no evidence for it but there is a vast amount of evidence from people who have demonstrated, time and time again, that the people who keep saying "they don't feel like it's true" are dead wrong.
