Principles of communism by Engels, as an introductory/glossary text for marxist jargon.

Next is, Utopian and scientific socialism by Engels

And ultimately, Historical and dialectical materialism by Stalin

I think these 3 books give you the preliminary tools to understand marxism, all of marxist theory is built using the dialectical materialist outlook, so it is fundamental to understand it first before diving into dense works like Capital.
