"New ways of traveling" sounds so vague... So is it going to be land vehicles on planets or better ways to fast travel or something else?

[-] Rentlar@lemmy.ca 25 points 10 months ago

New ways of traveling:

  • An interstellar bus cutscrne
  • An interstellar train cutscene
  • An teleportation booth cutscene
  • A space shuttle UFO beam cutscene
  • Resident Evil

The Alucard module

It has to work in their creation engine. Probably not a land vehicle unless it functions like a horse.

[-] Graphine@lemmy.world 14 points 10 months ago

If they seriously don’t add any types of ground vehicles I’m going to laugh. At that point it’ll be blatantly obvious how shitty their engine is.

[-] rhombus@sh.itjust.works 5 points 10 months ago

It’ll be like the train in Fallout 3, i.e an NPC with a rover for a head.

It was a glove, and the player was the one wearing it.

[-] Deceptichum@kbin.social 4 points 10 months ago

So it’ll be a horse skinned as a BigDog style robot?

[-] sevan@lemmy.world 5 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago)

I would absolutely spend my credits on a robot dog mount for ground transport!

just to be clear...my in game credits, not any kind of real money.

Got it, BigDog armour DLC incoming.

[-] sevan@lemmy.world 2 points 10 months ago

sigh...I'll have to settle for riding piggy back on vasco.

[-] SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world 4 points 10 months ago

But I want a space horse

[-] cosmicrookie@lemmy.world 8 points 10 months ago

It's just going to be different loading screens while fast traveling

[-] Blamemeta@lemm.ee -1 points 10 months ago

The frontier mod for new vegas managed proper cars, so maybe?

[-] A_Random_Idiot@lemmy.world 2 points 10 months ago

Never played frontier, but saw a few videos the cars were...rather janky from what i've seen in the videos.

Which is probably better than what bethesda could hope to do, lol.
