Apparently this is just some twitter drama? Not exactly Earth's finest left back in that pit, don't let them drag you down. Gotta be strong these days.

It's a little different when you're getting doxxed and your family is getting pulled into it IRL.

Oh, I see. That's not cancelling, that's a more severe form of online harassment. Probably a job for the police, if they actually gave a shit.

Despite being very grateful for what this job has done for me and my family, I’m simply not strong enough to keep doing this if it means having to just accept this kind and amount of distress. Perhaps that makes me weak, but I’ve rarely ever really thought otherwise.

I agree with Jocat, this isn't a sign of weakness.

Can we drop this "gotta be strong" shit when people are literally dealing with thousands of random abusive asshats never leaving them be?

Yeah, not saying they were the ones that need to be strong. OP is, if he's this upset about what's happening. Creating distress is their goal.

That's a fair take, thanks for the clarification.

Idk what it's about, but I think OP must be chronically online to post something like this with zero context expecting everyone else to understand it. It is time to touch grass and stop emotionally investing in internet drama.

I wasn't expecting anyone to understand without context(you can just find the context if you're curious), and I'm not chronically online for being saddened by something horrible happening to someone I, in some way, idolize. Also, this isn't internet drama, it's a person being harassed and cyberbullied out of their career.
