Downvote because this is a bullshit marketing move.

Iveco paid Metallica to promote their hydrogen, electric and LNG (fossil-fuel) trucks. They don't do it out of conviction, but just for the money.

Metallica reaching for money? Whaaat

[–] RizzRustbolt@lemmy.world 12 points 8 months ago

Lars is fully powered by LNG now.

this is a bullshit marketing move.

Just as hydrogen propulsion in general.

Word. It’s the world’s silliest gas to work with. Tiny molecular Houdini.

I downvote just out of the fact it's Iveco. I've driven plenty Ivecos before for work - they're easily one of the worst driving experiences I've ever had.

But yes, Metallica doing something for money and not out of conviction is as inevitable as death and taxes.

Well, you could say doing it for the money is doing it out of conviction (for money) to them.

Out of all truck brands, which is your favourite? I’m not that big into semi trucks but I’ve heard Scanias and DAFs are very well loved

I still downvoted over the Napster thing. I'm petty and obstinate that way.

[–] Auzy@beehaw.org 4 points 8 months ago

I actually am still a bit petty too about that.

Also, they haven't made good music in ages

But really, lots of people are using EVs now. Not sure if this is really news as I wouldn't be surprised if other bands have started or will shortly
