I got bit by a brown recluse when I was sleeping. They had to cut open my finger because I let it get swollen for a couple days. It first started out as a pimple, then my finger started to turn purple after awhile. I went to the hospital like a week after getting bit and they said I was like 2-3 days away from having a heart attack because it was causing the blood in my finger to clot. Still thinking about getting a spider man tattoo. Also, fuck brown recluses.

Fun fact, not everyone is reactive to it. I lived in a house with an infestation and got bit a ton and it never effected me, just regular spider bite redness.

It's a thing. Search brown recluse toxicity on Google or whatever. Some people is very reactive and some people it's not, I don't know why and I don't honestly think science knows why yet.

Sure, whatever. There's also a pretty common misidentification issue with them but let's assume you're right...

Sue people for making you live in the Brown Recluse Gangbang House. That's not okay.

Not when you catch several and have them all identified by pest control.

I can't sue my parents dude, there were issues we move on.

How does this story keep having further trauma reveals?

[-] Madison420@lemmy.world 6 points 6 months ago

Life is weird I guess?

Maybe they just built up immunity over time from many bites. You could probably do that too.
