I don't mind it much but see what you mean. I just think the name of the theme Blue Ocean explains a bit why they're this way. Almost like you're underwater.

Yeah, I guess the best is to test the sounds in context, see how it goes. What I like very much is that the sounds, especially even the error sounds are kinda soothing, while Plasma"s current error sound is a bit too aggressive to my hears.

Yep. Actually using them in everyday life will be the answer. Playing the sounds one time individually can't really say whether I'll like it or want to disable it right away.

back in the ICQ days I made the mistake of making my message received sound the clip from Monty Python and the quest for the holy Grail the "message for you Sir" clip, it was funny... at first, and that lesson has stayed with me ever since.
