As someone who's only grown a year and has already seen the copious amounts of cringe I've put out, I can confirm this is true. Children don't really stop developing rationality until they're 18 or so.
Yes, but I'm talking about the specific part of the brain that handles rationality. It's like a sort of xp cap-within the cap you can develop, but you can never pass it.
That doesn't mean development has to stop necessarily though
The difference is that adults are building upon their existing parts, while children are still developing what they need.
