To be honest im not sure exactly More transparent to start, maybe restraints on corporate lobbying, more involvement with the people like public volunteer panels to discuss policies and other stuff. Thats just off the top of my head but I sure there are thousands of ways we could improve the system but we should at least try something else because I think we can all agree its shit

Lol that's literally left wing policies you nonce

[–] K0W4LSK1@lemmy.dbzer0.com 0 points 6 months ago

I can agree with left policies but also hate the left dude its not black and white and also governments are bs

[–] whoreticulture@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 6 months ago (1 children)

Those sound like left policies tbh! The right does NOT want restraints on corporate lobbying nor do they want more democracy. I think these are good ideas but I also think maybe you are way too hopeful about how open the political right is to these seemingly basic democratic measures.

The left/right seem basically the same if you just look at Dems/Republicans because they basically are the same, but true left politics aligns a lot more with what you're saying than you may realize.

Just because my ideas align with "left politics" doesnt mean I believe in the system sure some have good ideas but usually it involves capitalism and that shit is a sickness. I also believe nationalism and patriotism have become a sickness. Once were useful but weve outgrown that. I want a better world for everyone even the fucking assholes that dont want a better world (capitalists you have to hurt people to get more) maybe we need to stop being so inclusive and cull some assholes no trials. Personally I want some variant of socialism.

But I'm not Naive and know things happen slowly and in steps so I will work with what I have to strive for what I want. In the end humanity is so immature as a species we really need to grow more consciencely to grown as a society IMO

Dude trust me I understand your confusion. but again my whole original point from the first one was the memes are stupid because I dont think labelling our ideas is doing us any good. if I could explain my point, without using these words that are mainly semantics at this point. I would, but then I wouldn't get my point across.

What I'm trying to say we need something new. In my opinion left right socialist fascist communist capitalist whatever you want its all a spectacle this system is the problem and we need to break free but will be slow and I guess I just rant on Lemmy because I have to take it slow in real life You guys are like my teachers helping me shape my future arguments.

Leftists are anti-capitalist. Leftists are also socialist.

[–] K0W4LSK1@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 6 months ago (1 children)

I mean i dont see it who would fund them? maybe a long time ago but thats not true anymore. all politicians are bad the system has been corrupted for longer then you and me its all words and semantics they use to distract us now

[–] whoreticulture@lemmy.blahaj.zone 0 points 6 months ago (1 children)

Fund what? Distract from what? Words help people find other people who share their beliefs and organize politically.

[–] K0W4LSK1@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 6 months ago (1 children)

Their salaries you think politicians would make this much in socialist world? you think money would even be relevent ? How do you think these politicians will take hearing they have to eat shit like the rest of us to fix this world? you think that'll happen? i dont Agreed on words matterin but so do actions and lately we've let those in control do all the actions. When I say a better world I mean everywhere not just america every human deserves to live and this world the way the system is does not allow that

[–] whoreticulture@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 6 months ago (1 children)

Politicians are rich before they get elected, their salaries are not motivating them to stay in politics.

Have you read Are Prisons Obsolete by Angela Davis? It's a quick read and that was my introduction to radical left politics.

[–] K0W4LSK1@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 6 months ago (1 children)

I will read it thank you for the recommendation

Yes I agree they are but what made them get that ability the politics and private corporations the money is the only motivation

[–] whoreticulture@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 6 months ago (1 children)

Awesome I hope you like it, Angela Davis is truly a hero.

Yeah I agree, politicians are at the behest of corporations and rely on them for campaign funding. One idea is to publically fund campaigns and ban donations, so anyone can run and it's an even playing field.

[–] K0W4LSK1@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 6 months ago

Agreed but so far it only seems plausible on a small scale until their are restrictions on corporations or some sort of benefit for employee owned co-ops
