This seems like wishcasting.
Everyone is welcome to their subjective opinion, but I don't think any of these are really suffering that hard.
Marvel and Starwars have been taking heat for pumping out boring and poorly written films for a while now. I think Pixar's stuff is still mostly decent, though. That being said, I also expect a completely different standard of work from Pixar since it's for kids first and foremost.
I'm pretty sure he's pointing out that they still make a shit ton of money which is all that really matters to them.
That's fair, I think you're right that it's subjective. I think Disney managed to pretty much kill the main Star Wars movies at least for me. That said, we also got some pretty great stuff that we definitely wouldn't have gotten otherwise so it's not all bad. It was really sad to see LucasArts gutted and EA get exclusive rights to the license for a while though.
In exchange for 3 shitty movies, we did get a CRAPLOAD of other Star Wars stuff. Animated: final season of Clone Wars, 3 seasons of Bad Batch exploring immediate post-order-66, Rebels (Mother. Fucking. THRAWN), and more that I don't remember.
Several live action shows: Mandalorian, Kenobi, Ahsoka (MORE. Mother. Fucking. THRAWN), Book of Boba Fet, and more, I think, but again, I can't remember.
Imagine if D&D hadn't gotten fired, how much worse that trilogy would have been.
Still, Disney seems incapable of recognizing good vs bad writing.
You are right, we've gotten some pretty awesome content, but then they fuck away most of the movies.
All of those are garbage. Not only as Star Wars shows, but as shows in general. You forgot The Acolyte, which is arguably the worst.
