Was he shot with a beanbag?

The victim was shot with rubber coated steel bullets, per the second article. It’s still a crime committed by the Israeli occupation forces.

That or a rubber bullet. Definitely not lethal force.

[-] feedum_sneedson@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

Obviously that doesn't make it okay, but that's a fairly major omission!

Agreed. The blockade is a major humanitarian issue but I wonder why they omitted it.

Because when you’re peacefully fishing in your own territorial waters, whether you’re shot with a rubber coated steel bullet or shot with a beanbag is irrelevant. The crime is you’re being shot at by a foreign occupying force.

It's actually not irrelevant. If they used live rounds then they'd be murdering someone, or attempting to, on top of the other issue.

Glad to know you’d be ok being shot with a rubber coated steel bullet. “Other issues” be damned, right?

You're really projecting hard here. It's rather pathetic.

Yeah, cause who cares if you're being shot at all while meeting you're business!

Even cuffing someone can be lethal, if you have a buffoon in charge
