I bought a large textbook called "Fungi" for this very reason, but have yet to find the time to sit down and read all 600 pages.

Yes, I'm a long-term fan of the mycelium, but when it gets presented as otherworldly and whatnot it turns me off a bit. The pigment funnel/electron transport chain in a plant's photosynthetic apparatus is mind-blowing but doesn't get the same kind of mysticism treatment on the internet. Maybe I'm just a curmudgeon.

I never want to hear the phrase stochastic terrorism again, it's a bit too "zeroth law of robotics" for my taste.

I'll admit the line between protected free speech and incitement to violence is indistinct, but if you think anybody has crossed it, let's call it what it is.

I think some of that guy's comments the other day probably did constitute that (the guy at the Trump rally talking about immigrants poisoning America's precious bodily fluids or whatever).
