I wouldn't say it's awful, but I think the GITS movie is overrated.

The first season of the anime though, holy shit that's good.

I was pretty disappointed by GitS SAC, especially the ending where

spoilerit's revealed that Section 9 being pursued by the cops was all part of the plan and everyone lived. Like, I'm 99% sure they killed cops and that other cops said, to their faces, that they'd kill them?

S2 is worse and is mostly open copaganda.

All of the stuff I thought I remembered as being good in 2nd Gig was actually all first season episodes lmao.

Solid State Society is pretty good, but not amazing. Since it's the SAC movie, I feel like a lot of people overlook it.

I was curious and always wanted to see it. Why did I watch the movie? I didn't know there was an anime about it

I've found the "Stand alone complex" but the first one.. Need more research
