I hate that this is so plausible.
I'm guessing it will be Russia keeps the territory that it currently holds and Ukraine nominally gets a security guarantee.
The only real security guarantee is nuclear weapons.
This whole war is one giant "Everyone should own nuclear weapons" marketing campaign.
My expectation is that Russia will take more territory. It's highly likely they will want to take Kharkov, Odessa, and Dnepropetrovsk at the very least. There is very little the US can do about that at this point. Whether Trump understands this or not is a different question though. What might happen is that Trump will float his deal, then Russia will reject it and he'll just quietly pull aid from Ukraine at which point the problem will solve itself so to speak.
They won't let em in NATO, Putin would die before that happens. Arguably that's the reason for the war in the first place -- Ukraine looking at EU membership and maybe NATO after Euromaidan.
Yeah, no way they getting into NATO, I'm assuming they'll get some lesser guarantee that realistically may not hold up long term.
The plan:
- Russia keeps everything up to and including Kyiv
- Ukraine gives the US exclusive access to its resources
- Ukraine agrees not to join NATO
- If they disagree, Trump directs funding to Russia
These things were always going to happen and anybody with a minimally functioning brain understood that this is how the war was going to end three years ago.
It will somehow be something shockingly worse than this. And then it will actually happen without any opposition.

Watch as everyone shakes their hands, dance around, call you stupid and basically get mad and distracted while you go off and raid the government coffers for you and your friends.
Could you guys stop criticizing a president that is trying it's best and just trust on him a bit? He promised to end the war in Ukraine in 24h. He just didn't specify of which day. Could happen anytime...

So he has the concept of a plan.
The plan itself he'll make up half an hour before it's due, and then spout off about how everyone agrees it's the best plan ever. The fact that they knew sod all about it, is neither here nor there. It'll give Trump a few more hours of air time, because that's what he wants, to be the main news event every day.
