Jesus I can't stand PP. He's a little Trump douche who's only claim to fame is being able to retire on a full pension at the age of 31 and then denying anyone else the right to do so. I hope anyone wins but him at this point so this whiney Americuck turd wanna be steps down and fucks off under a rock for the remainder of use pathetic life, ideally without a pension that he doesn't deserve to collect.

“Independent media should be allowed on the precinct, there’s no reason why it should be a small cabal of government approved mouthpieces,” Poilievre said.

Hmm ok yeah that's a fair point I guess

“I would love to see a scenario where every different kind of journalist from all backgrounds, of all opinions, is given a chance to report on what happens on the hill.”

Interesting, sure, go on

Poilievre’s spokesperson, Sebastian Skamski, did not respond to multiple requests from PressProgress seeking clarification ...

Ahhhhhh there it is

I would love to see a scenario where every different kind of journalist from all backgrounds, of all opinions,

Conspiracies George, who never went to school and thinks oxygen is a government plot, but has his own "news" website should not have been included in the funding.

Conspiracies George, founder of rebel media, which is funded by oil companies. Shouldn’t be any worries there.

Is conspiracies george Ezra Levant the far right fuckstick?

[–] Cruxifux@feddit.nl 3 points 2 days ago

I mean I wasn’t exactly being subtle with the comparison lol

What happened to defunding the CBC there pal, wasn't part of your argument that the government shouldn't fund TV or News?

[–] Revan343@lemmy.ca 13 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Oh don't worry, he still plans to defund the CBC

Speaking to right-wing online media personality Candice Malcolm with the website “Juno News” last week, Poilievre indicated he would, in his words, “depoliticize news media finance.”

Maybe remove funding for “opinion” articles then.

Frankly this should be separated from any political party just like our elections are.

There’s the tell. If anyone needed one.
