First of all try accepting donations on your free software to get a bit of side income!
Secondly, look for companies that offer traineeships. I work in QA and basically any consultancy takes even non-IT people for their traineeship cause of the shortage we have.
Maybe something towards electrical engineering could interest you? Check for certificates/bachelors depending on how far you want to go.
As a sidenote, just try to get some sort of job even if not in IT. Being active in the job market makes you much more interesting to hire even if people tell you its not.
Let skills atrophy, help contribute to downfall of society.
If you're in shape, that goes a long way. Try looking up speed dating events in your area and see what happens. Who knows, maybe you're more charming than you think after a drink or two?
On you get that confidence, soft skills come a little easier.
Living with your parent isn't the immediate L you think it is, plenty of people in their 40s in this position, and it's a great way to save to buy your own place somewhere.
If your food and shelter is taken care of, try interning (for free...) at a company. Or, find your local hospice/health clinic and ask if they need some casual IT support. That's all I got
