For those that have had enough of the Elon Musk worship online.

No flaming, baiting, etc. This community is intended for those opposed to the influx of Elon Musk-related advertising online. Coming here to defend Musk or his companies will not get you banned, but it likely will result in downvotes. Please use the reporting feature if you see a rule violation.

Opinions from all sides of the political spectrum are welcome here. However, we kindly ask that off-topic political discussion be kept to a minimum, so as to focus on the goal of this sub. This community is minimally moderated, so discussion and the power of upvotes/downvotes are allowed, provided lemmy.world rules are not broken.

Post links to instances of obvious Elon Musk fanboy brigading in default subreddits, lemmy/kbin communities/instances, astroturfing from Tesla/SpaceX/etc., or any articles critical of Musk, his ideas, unrealistic promises and timelines, or the working conditions at his companies.

Tesla-specific discussion can be posted here as well as our sister community /c/RealTesla.

If this is fake, then why bother? Get a real one and back that up. There are a few of those out there.

[–] index@sh.itjust.works 4 points 13 hours ago

This is the sort of elon musk content you want to have in the frontpage, not news about his companies or shit he said

[–] TheDemonBuer@lemmy.world 39 points 22 hours ago (3 children)

It would be pretty hypocritical of me to hate on this guy for being fat and disgusting, since I am also. I feel pretty alright criticizing the things he does, however, because I'm not a piece of shit billionaire scumbag.

[–] 1984@lemmy.today 2 points 10 hours ago* (last edited 10 hours ago)

I agreed until you said "since I am also".

Its not alright to judge people for how they look in general. There is plenty of evidence that this guy is a horrible human being without judging his looks.

In fact, the better a person looks, the more power they have over others by default. And the more they get away with, in general. So be careful around good looking people, they should worry you more. :)

And you are not disgusting because you are fat, wtf is wrong with you for thinking that. You have the same value as every other human being. Just because humans are shallow fucks doesnt mean they are right. Its just a flaw in humans to judge others like that. It comes from their animal side.

If you want to not be fat, you go to the gym and you eat better. But thats your choice.

[–] Mac@mander.xyz 10 points 18 hours ago

That's why making fun of peoples looks is wrong.
Attacking shitty people for characteristics of normal people only harms the normal people. Attack the shitty people for being shitty people.

Btw this image of Musk is ai slop.

You probably can't afford world leading nutritionists, personal trainers, chefs, etc. Being that shape with billions is a feat of gluttony

[–] iAmTheTot@sh.itjust.works 3 points 20 hours ago (3 children)

To be quite frank, you don't need to afford any of those things to not be obese.

[–] Draces@lemmy.world 12 points 20 hours ago (1 children)

I am in good shape, literally writing this from the gym. If you're making minimum wage, work excessive hours in a sedentary job, live in a food desert and have shitty genes it's incredibly difficult to not be obese. But that's besides the point of the thread, I'd rather not get into it

[–] brbposting@sh.itjust.works 2 points 17 hours ago

🎯

Really is the shortest you can sum up the reality of it. (w/o dismissing agency of course, but this crowd gets it)

[–] Droggelbecher@lemmy.world 2 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

Doesn't really matter either way. It's none of our business, their body isn't harming anyone else. Criticize the things they actually do wrong, never their body.

I'm not saying this because I have any compassion for Musk. I just think we should get past body shaming, and that won't work unless we make it so body shaming is NEVER ok.

[–] Droggelbecher@lemmy.world 2 points 11 hours ago

Yeah sorry I think I replied to the wrong part of the thread

[–] rottingleaf@lemmy.world 0 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

To be quite frank, you are very ignorant. It's the same as saying you don't need right conditions to be a billionaire, just catch your moment. Or that you don't need to afford any of these to grow a 3-meter dick.

Problems with eyesight and weak muscles and what not also depend on genes a lot.

I can understand you don't personally see anything morally wrong with Elon Musk, but people around hate him, so must find some reason to join the herd.

[–] iAmTheTot@sh.itjust.works 1 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

Wow buddy, back up. I said that you don't need to afford a personal trainer and chef in order to not be obese, and you concluded that I don't see anything morally wrong with Musk?

Let's make one thing perfectly clear: I'll mark the day Musk dies on a calendar and celebrate it each year.

Go touch some grass.

[–] rottingleaf@lemmy.world 1 points 11 hours ago

I said that you don’t need to afford a personal trainer and chef in order to not be obese

And you are wrong, it's usually genetic predisposition more than anything else.

Let’s make one thing perfectly clear: I’ll mark the day Musk dies on a calendar and celebrate it each year.

Suppose there's a person thinking obese people just don't try hard enough, or that people with bad eyesight should just eat more carrots, or that people with ADHD should just eat more fish. Why would such a person see anything wrong with Musk? Actually they shouldn't.

[–] satans_methpipe@lemmy.world 9 points 17 hours ago

Nsfw tag plz

[–] Bunnylux@lemmy.world 12 points 21 hours ago (3 children)

It's kind of mean to be like, haha fat people. Like, would it be better if he was thinking? He's an evil fuck, don't bring peoples bodies into it that is not progressive or elevated thinking.

[–] TheEighthDoctor@lemmy.zip 3 points 16 hours ago

Im fat and I allow it

[–] Punchshark@lemmy.ca 1 points 17 hours ago

Gotta sink to their level

[–] Bunnylux@lemmy.world 2 points 21 hours ago

Hook, hwooonk, goooronk!

Probably lots of wet sounds also.

[–] KingGordon@lemmy.world 7 points 21 hours ago (1 children)

This is actually an improvement over real life.

[–] Kolanaki@pawb.social 9 points 21 hours ago

If no one had pointed out the edit originally, I would have just assumed this is real. I mean, there are other images of him shirtless and they're not really much different. 🤷🏻‍♂️

[–] EndofLife@feddit.org 6 points 21 hours ago

Hey! ... You ... Guys ...?

[–] OmegaMan@lemmings.world 4 points 22 hours ago (1 children)

Is this shopped or real? I still don't know

[–] LandedGentry@lemmy.zip 10 points 21 hours ago

It’s AI generated if what I’m seeing from search is to be believed

[–] margaritox@lemmy.world 3 points 21 hours ago (1 children)

Please tell me this isn’t photoshop.

[–] Spider89@lemm.ee 6 points 20 hours ago

It isn't.

Last I recalled, it's AI...

[–] psyspoop@lemm.ee 0 points 22 hours ago (1 children)

This is the ideal male body. You may not like it, but this is what peak male performance looks like.

[–] Punchshark@lemmy.ca 1 points 17 hours ago

I don't think you can use the word performance with this body
