Every once in a while, the heating element seems to break on my Gaggenau EB 378 610 oven. Other than that, it works fine.

This time though, I am unable to find a replacement part since the manufacturer discontinued it. I searched everywhere online and on eBay, but was still unable to find it.

I would rather not buy a new oven since that would be very expensive and I like this one. Does anyone have any ideas about where I can find a replacement heating element? Or am I out of luck?

It's a convection element, part #00098494, 100L

Keep searching, as parts do turn up, but you may be able to find someone skilled in fabrication who could make the part for you. Failing that, they could make something which would work in your oven & maybe last longer.

You'd need to show them the one you have & ideally schematics for the piece & for the whole oven.

I don't know if you have any where you live, but sometimes you can find local appliance repair shops that might sell parts. Even if they don't have a new element hanging around they may have an old usable one to sell you. I used to work at one and we kept ahold of discontinued parts to use for repairs or sale.
