Summary

Elon Musk called for arrests after posting a video on X showing a confrontation between women and a Tesla Cybertruck driver.

In the video, a woman pointed at the vehicle, prompting the driver to yell threats while the crowd chanted "Shame!"

Another woman called the driver a Nazi.

Musk claimed the incident was part of broader attacks and urged authorities to arrest those funding such actions, saying targeting only “puppets and paid foot-soldiers” would not stop the violence.

arrest those funding such actions

Wait, we can get paid to laugh at cybertrucks? And here I am doing it for free like a sucker.

[–] futatorius@lemm.ee 21 points 5 days ago

It's always projection with those assholes.

[–] Birch@sh.itjust.works 17 points 6 days ago

Why not just ban Tesla and cyber trucks since they are offensive to people eyes, are linked to a Nazism and provoke violence.

[–] ChaoticNeutralCzech@feddit.org 10 points 5 days ago

The Cybertruck would be done for in the blink of an eye If the NHTSA had balls and treated it fairly in response to its disastrous statistics.

[–] rustydrd@sh.itjust.works 135 points 6 days ago (3 children)

Musk has a point, though. The Cybertruck is extremely fragile, so pointing at it with your finger poses a significant risk and could even set it on fire.

[–] Ceruleum@lemmy.wtf 40 points 6 days ago (1 children)

But first it will lock the doors.

Never forget that Elon Musk has built his fortune on many many violations of the law, including SEC violations and breaking employment laws. This ghoul firmly believes that his is of a privileged class that is permitted to do this while you are not. He is a cancer in our society and deserves nothing but ridicule and punishment for the harm he feels entitled to inflict on the rest of us.

[–] BestBouclettes@jlai.lu 47 points 6 days ago

He doesn't even have to believe it, it's been proven time and time again that he is part of a privileged class.

[–] grue@lemmy.world 33 points 6 days ago

The treatment for cancer is not "ridicule," you know. Just sayin'.

arrest those funding those actions

Every accusation is a confession.

[–] Corno@lemm.ee 79 points 6 days ago (2 children)

He's allowed to do Nazi salutes at inaugurations, but people aren't allowed to point fingers at his cars?

If Musk just disappears from earth and is never seen or heard again, no one will miss him.

[–] PhAzE@lemmy.ca 24 points 5 days ago

Let's go through elons post history and arrest him for every bad thing he's said about liberals or anyone else. Remember that pedo comment he made? Arrest him for it.

[–] drascus@sh.itjust.works 85 points 6 days ago (4 children)

Its a good thing we have Elon protecting free speech. What a fucking sham.

[–] ZILtoid1991@lemmy.world 23 points 6 days ago

But was she screaming the hard-R N-word into the face of a black guy? No? See? That's "real free speech" is! We may never know how many harmless but funny pranks and jokes were lost to being potentially called "racist", which should be also illegal.

Elon Musk probably

[–] tehn00bi@lemmy.world 18 points 6 days ago (2 children)

Didn’t you hear, only billionaires with media companies can afford free speech now.

"It is time to arrest those funding the attacks," he wrote. "Arresting their puppets and paid foot-soldiers won’t stop the violence."

Yes, very much so. It is high time we arrest those who are funding the violence against America.

Who is responsible for the havoc we are suffering, again?

[–] Smoogs@lemmy.world 52 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Elon's self esteem is the strength of soft tofu. it's not for the world to walk on eggshells. He needs to get some actual real therapy cuz this isn't managing at life.

[–] o1011o@lemmy.world 13 points 5 days ago

A good criminal justice system ought to have comprehensive mental health services as part of the goal of rehabilitation. Therefore, for his own good, he should be in prison and we should reform the prison system.

[–] Entertain529@lemmy.ml 61 points 6 days ago (7 children)

It's soon going to be illegal to hurt Elon feelings.

[–] j0ester@lemmy.world 28 points 6 days ago

Seems like that is already the case.

[–] PalmTreeIsBestTree@lemmy.world 62 points 6 days ago (1 children)

[–] Guns0rWeD13@lemmy.world 22 points 6 days ago (1 children)

who's not pissed off enough for that now? i can't wait until someone grows a pair.

[–] silverlose@lemm.ee 20 points 6 days ago (7 children)

Not sure why you got downvoted.

I’m not a violent person—I want peace. But if the quickest path to it, with the least bloodshed, is removing this idiot, then so be it.

I’m confused. I was told “unusual hand gestures” are fine??

[–] xenomor@lemmy.world 76 points 6 days ago (4 children)

Well, if people are going to be arrested for just flipping off cybertrucks, then they might as well just go ahead and actually damage them.

[–] Manifish_Destiny@lemmy.world 26 points 6 days ago

Exactly. If youre gonna arrest me even if I'm not chucking bricks into faces,

Well then I might as well chuck some bricks.

Is the snowflake afraid of a little free speech? I thought he was all about free markets correcting themselves?

[–] tehn00bi@lemmy.world 49 points 6 days ago (3 children)

Wasn’t cyber tuck supposed to be a battery powered light tank chassis? Why are these punks scared of an old lady’s finger?

high profile non binary, non white, non male identified people deal with actual life threats on their life just for existing.

Meanwhile here's a white cisdude with billions worried about some woman pointing in a general direction.

[–] SouthEndSunset@lemm.ee 42 points 6 days ago

From the guy that called empathy weakness?

[–] TylerBourbon@lemmy.world 27 points 6 days ago

Seriously, I think porcelain is less fragile than Elonia's ego. I'm definitely concerned about his volume increasing on calling for blatantly tyrannical actions. I hope one day in the future, justice is done and he is investigated and charged for any crimes he may have committed.
Though I'm not going to hold my breath.
Does anyone else get the sense that he is exactly the type of person who would go out the way the OG Nazi leaders went out? I.e. self self-deletion as opposed to accepting his loss and facing punishment like someone with courage.

[–] Bytemeister@lemmy.world 23 points 6 days ago

Right. Point your finger at Cybertruck, highest government office in the land calls for your arrest. Run over protestors with your brodozer? Clear case of self defense.

Get the fuck out of here.

He showed that with that incident with the Thai kids stuck in the cave. They wouldn't take his submarine because it would never be able to navigate the cavern and he got all pissy and jealous of the actual heroes who accomplished the rescue. Kept calling one a pedo for years.
