An open-source reimplementation of the most famous civilization-building game ever - fast, small, no ads, free forever!

Build your civilization, research technologies, expand your cities and defeat your foes!

Both Unciv and Freeciv are games inspired by the civilization series. Freeciv is basing it gameplay on older game of civilization series like civilization II and Unciv on the newer games like civilization VI.

Warning, entire days will pass while you build your civilizations. Set a timer to help you remember to eat and sleep.

Unciv is the only free mobile game I've ever found to be playable for more than a week.

Do you want to play civ4 smoothly and for free? This does that and has heaps of easily installed mods. Last time I played espionage was still to be implemented, but that's in the works.

How is the ai? I always lose patience with civ games because the ai is braindead and at higher difficulties just cheats insanely to make up for it

I'm a filthy casual, I'm yet to play above prince. I've had enemies take advantage of glaring weaknesses I left open, but I've never felt like my plans were thwarted.

Interface looks very ugly, but still a cool project.

It's a re implementation of Civ5. It's only downside is it's 2d.

Sounds like an upside to me
