Rule 2: Do not copy the entire article into your post. Rule 5: Keep it civil. It's OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It's NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.

Rule 7: We didn't USED to need a rule about how many posts one could make in a day, then someone posted NINETEEN articles in a single day. Not comments, FULL ARTICLES. If you're posting more than say, 10 or so, consider going outside and touching grass. We reserve the right to limit over-posting so a single user does not dominate the front page.

Dropsite news is banned but problems with radio free Asia or voice of America...
I'm not aware of specific bans or rules for this community beyond what is in the sidebar. It says that sources with Low or Very Low credibility rating from MBFC will be removed. https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/drop-site-news-bias-and-credibility/ Drop Site News has a Mostly Factual rating, 2 notches above Low, so I'd assume it would be allowed? 🤷
Edit: I checked RFA ratings on MBFC and it's "High" credibility with "Left-Center" bias. LOL!!!
They ban it because it says substack in the footer, so they treat it as a blog.

I'm not aware of RFA so I don't understand what that reaction to the MBFC score means
I would disagree with MBFC's opinion that RFA's credibility is "High" or that its bias is left leaning
I'm sure it's fine, this is an online article not radio. Why wouldn't it be reliable? It's only news coming out of north korea.

Yes but our admins and mods trusted source says it's good so it stays 😭
I mean the section you list 'reception' lists some vagueries about how it's been recieved (positively and negatively) in various countries but it's certainly not shouting out that it's unreliable.
Likewise the controversies section below has three relatively minor events over its entire history.

If you eat nothing but rabbit or other lean protein your body can essentially starve because it's not getting enough fat and carbohydrates. But eating rabbits in addition to a diet that has fat from other sources makes the entire meal plan balanced enough to where the rabbit is a helpful/important part of the balanced diet.
Yes and no, it is a thing, but it's more prevalent when discussing wild game, especially in later winter months, and it isn't just rabbits either, it can also apply to deer and caribou. It is much less an issue with domesticated rabbits, as they will be fattier when butchered.
Yes, Rabbit Starvation. They lack nutrition.
They don't provide ALL nutrition you need. However, they are plenty nutritious.
How do you coax rabbits to breed more? Put 2 in a stadium with lots of food and you’ll have 2^16 in a few months.

Just don't forget about rabbit starvation. They're very lean animals so additional sources of carbs and fats are mandatory

... I realize that is quite a grizzly thing to ask, and I don't mean to be as flippant as the first comment...
But that would be a useful thing to know if you're desperate enough to start a rabbit breeding pen for food, and you also have no idea what feed prices/availability will be.
Not really. Rabbits can eat just about anything in small quantities, but thier digestive system is hyper specialized around eating plants, mostly grasses, If they don't get consistent access to hay (or quality grass alternative) they enter a state called GI stasis and die. Source: I own a few pet rabbits. One almost died because we gave him too many rasins. He gets compressed hay pellets with some added sugar as treats now.
I've not been religious for a long time now, but I don't know how else to phrase this:
I pray that one day I can put that knowledge toward just having a pet bunny.

Do... if you keep a bunbun as a pet, do they do better alone, or are they social enough that they need a buddy... or would two buddies in something like an apartment lead to fights?

I couldn't resist sending a picture. This is Ciel, one of our three rabbits. He lives by himself in the main room because he hates other rabbits, but he loves humans.

Ciel is a more creative name than Bunnicula, my first thought, lol.

Rabbits are social, but they can also be territorial. It's typically recommend to keep a bonded pair of rabbits. One male and one female.
It's best to keep rabbits indoors, with at least 4 feet by 4 feet of play area. Typically people use portable dog pens. We used to do this, but once our rabbits got settled in their space, we removed the pens. Now they can go wherever they want, but they choose never to leave thier room.
They are litter box trained. It's a different kind of litter than cat litter. We use a layer of compressed pine pellets topped with hay.
Rabbits pee and poop in the litter box, but they will always poop a little bit outside the box. The nice thing is, rabbit poops are dry little balls that don't really smell, so we just vacuum it up.
I really like our rabbits. The hardest thing about them is all the bad information. For example, a pet store will sell you a hutch or cage which is much too small. They also will charge you way too much for hay and sell you unhealthy feed pellets. The wabbitwiki is a valuable resource.

I've had ex partners with guinea pigs and ferrets... but never rabbits.

Yep, i had two holland lops growing up. They are relatively easy to litter train and their poop is great garden fertilizer too. Mainly because their digestive system isn't particularly efficient, from what I recall.
Guinea pigs will cannibalize if they're too stressed IIRC, not sure about rabbits tho
