They knew that they needed advanced shoulder pads if they were going to shoulder the responsibility of controlling the galaxy.

Romulans > Atlas. Atlas just had to shoulder the Earth. The Romulans have to shoulder the whole galaxy!

Someone with Photoshop skills please create a Romulan shoulder PADD.

Q gender swaps the Space Marines. The fandom immediately starts a civil war.

As long as he gender swaps The Sisters of Battle, and The Guard, it's all good.

You'll start the civil war gender swapping Slannesh

Gender-swap Slaanesh? Nothing happens. They are canonically he/she/both/none-of-the-above.

[–] AngryCommieKender@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

And that's the opening argument that causes the fan civil war.

As long as he's not fucking with me in other ways, that's fine.

I'm pretty sure I glued a few shoulder pads sticking out and backwards back in the day. They still looked alright heh.

"power overwhelming" was the invincibility cheat code in StarCraft.

[–] negativenull@lemm.ee 2 points 1 year ago

Someone caught it!

The certainty that romulan had, that asked geordi to connect disparate tech (his visor to his tricorder)... like it was just a given that all tech is composable, and that they use singularities for power... i would accept it as canon that romulan tech is superior.

[–] Justas@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 year ago

Or Romulan tech was full of pointless Wunderwaffen: flashy and cool, but ultimately less stable, less reliable, more expensive, more difficult to upgrade and maintain and that's why they never end up controlling the galaxy.

The Frieza Force clearly had the superior shoulder pad technology:

That said, it couldn't help them from being picked apart by a hillbilly in orange pants.
