India has really damaged its international reputation as being the more 'rational' one compared to Pakistan. BJP is straight up criticizing the previous liberal-left alliance Government for being too 'passive' and not responding militarily after 26/11 attacks.

Welcome to c/news! Please read the Hexbear Code of Conduct and remember... we're all comrades here.
Rules:
-- PLEASE KEEP POST TITLES INFORMATIVE --
-- Overly editorialized titles, particularly if they link to opinion pieces, may get your post removed. --
-- All posts must include a link to their source. Screenshots are fine IF you include the link in the post body. --
-- If you are citing a twitter post as news please include not just the twitter.com in your links but also nitter.net (or another Nitter instance). There is also a Firefox extension that can redirect Twitter links to a Nitter instance: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/libredirect/ or archive them as you would any other reactionary source using e.g. https://archive.today/ . Twitter screenshots still need to be sourced or they will be removed --
-- Mass tagging comm moderators across multiple posts like a broken markov chain bot will result in a comm ban--
-- Repeated consecutive posting of reactionary sources, fake news, misleading / outdated news, false alarms over ghoul deaths, and/or shitposts will result in a comm ban.--
-- Neglecting to use content warnings or NSFW when dealing with disturbing content will be removed until in compliance. Users who are consecutively reported due to failing to use content warnings or NSFW tags when commenting on or posting disturbing content will result in the user being banned. --
-- Using April 1st as an excuse to post fake headlines, like the resurrection of Kissinger while he is still fortunately dead, will result in the poster being thrown in the gamer gulag and be sentenced to play and beat trashy mobile games like 'Raid: Shadow Legends' in order to be rehabilitated back into general society. --
This is just Mussolini type Fascism now. Zero competence, all optics.
The last government congress party had was before 2014, right? Come on now
Random ass interaction
I love it hahahahahaha look at my president dawg
Is anyone else really really scared by the world at the moment? It feels like everything is spiralling so quickly
Yes and it is very bad for my mental health. The future feels hopeless.
I'm not, you gotta kinda genuinely unironically slightly embrace the "Nothing ever happens" mentality if you don't want world events to fuck with you too much.
Like the world is getting worse and worse and I'm just supposed to do what? Study for my exams? Clean the dishes? It's so insane
Something that struck me about 2020 and the war in Ukraine is how normal life stayed beyond the initial lockdown phase.
You wake up, go to work, even if you might catch a disease that might leave you disabled or worse or if tanks roll down the street, shooting at everything that moves, you return home and repeat.
This happened to most of my (Palestinian) friends in 2023.
The feeling is called anomie
Abu Mazen attended victory day and Netanyahu didn’t 😂
If anyone was wondering the reason for the Oreshnik missile threat: Starmer, Macron, and Merz are in Kiev for talks on the "coalition of the willing" to potentially enter the war against Russia. Clearly Russia sees this as a serious threat this time.
I think they are orchestrating the coalition stuff, the 30 day ceasefire demand, and Trump's sanction threats to create a situation where there is no easy response for Russia. They can either accept a defeat, or lash out and look like the bad guy.
Coalition of the still won’t have any artillery pieces left
Or tanks, or planes, or air defence

What do you mean? Can't Russia just keep grinding towards victory on the battlefield? They have the upper hand, and sanctions are ineffective
The Oreshnik threat is there to remind Starmer et al, that there is no victory on the cards for the West if there's real escalation
Not that Starmer et al are rational actors

Like, boots on the ground or just keep funding ukraine's military? I can't really see them doing the former
