Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). So he's out of touch with reality. There should be some sort of protocol for when the president cannot perform his duties due to delusions

Yeah because clones come out the same age as the person they are cloned from...lol. Also why would you grow a clone that has cancer?

[–] Freshparsnip@lemm.ee 1 points 2 hours ago

Maybe he's seen that episode of Star Trek: Enterprise where they have a fast growing clone of Trip

[–] blargle@sh.itjust.works 9 points 22 hours ago

They aren't talking about real-world biological cell cloning. They're talking about a machine built with secret reptilian technology where you put the dead person in one cylinder and it scans them and then prints out a replica that is alive but without a soul, so then you turn it into a cyborg with a brain chip (more alien technology) and then it can be remote controlled and progammed what to say.

It is not so much a "conspiracy theory" as a "psychotic delusion". And all the 'Q' people believe it. They are all severely mentally ill.

[–] Melatonin@lemmy.dbzer0.com 14 points 1 day ago

I'm not a scientist, but anything that accelerated growth to make the clone the same age as you probably would cause cancer.

So, conspiracy fits.

UNSC flash clones... They come out like the original, but quickly degrade due to the process

[–] sp3ctr4l@lemmy.dbzer0.com 39 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Entirely seriously:

The last time I heard anyone talking about this conspiracy theory was when I was homeless ... this idea was fairly popular with the meth and fentanyl addict crowd.

I also witnessed some arguments over whether or not Kayne was a clone.

[–] El_Scapacabra@lemm.ee 3 points 21 hours ago

I can understand the confusion with Kanye. He's a clown.

[–] CileTheSane@lemmy.ca 15 points 1 day ago

Is he trying to discourage people from voting for Biden?

[–] WizardofFrobozz@lemmy.ca 44 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (3 children)

This is a demoralization tactic.

It’s not about Biden, it’s not about conspiracies. It’s about rubbing your nose in it.

“Look at the absurd shit I can say and lose no support. Look at how brazenly I can spew this garbage and look at how you’re doing nothing about it. Fuck you, I win, and you won’t even try to stop me.”

[–] ripcord@lemmy.world 52 points 1 day ago (2 children)

You're giving way too much credit. I think he's just a jackass sharing conspiracy theories about people he doesn't like.

[–] xyzzy@lemm.ee 10 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Yeah. I think it's somewhere in between this and the above post. I think he thinks it's funny, and he likes stirring the pot for his own amusement or to deflect from something else. I don't think he's thinking about it as a demoralization tactic; I think he's just having fun because he doesn't take being president seriously and he's just seeing what he can get away with.

I think Trump is mainly there for grifting, trolling, and bullying, and all the other stuff is just because he wants his crazy base to love him. He just uses the issues as leverage.

[–] Hadriscus@lemm.ee 11 points 1 day ago

yeah, no, his mental process definitely isn't that elaborate

[–] fishy@lemmy.today 6 points 1 day ago

"he's playing 5d chess" "That's no rook, that's a cat's turd."

[–] Botzo@lemmy.world 25 points 1 day ago (2 children)

If we can make a brief return to the "every accusation is a confession" mantra, isn't it more likely that the orange makeup, weird hair, goofy stance, and incoherent speech are ways to distract from or cover up bad clones or (more likely) body doubles?

I'm just asking questions.

/s of course

[–] MuskyMelon@lemmy.world 7 points 1 day ago

Weekend at Donnie's? Covering up his dead zombie features.

[–] A_norny_mousse@feddit.org 4 points 1 day ago

You wish. If that were the case they'd choose a better clone. No, Trump looking shitty and being incoherent is the best proof against any such ideas. But I'm sure nature will take care of it rather sooner than later.

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 16 points 1 day ago

Ah yes, the classic complete misunderstanding of what cloning actually is. They think you clone someone, and out comes a fully formed copy of the person at the same age.

Who needs basic science education, right?

5150 47! 5150 47! 5150 47!

[–] Zier@fedia.io 9 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Wait until he finds out that Humanity died off 400 years ago and everyone has been replaced by clones. Oh, and birds are not real!

[–] Lucky_777@lemmy.world 1 points 2 hours ago

I thought birds were secret government listening devices?

[–] PattyMcB@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago

We fucked with the squirrels, didn't we?

There is no low that Trump won't sink to

[–] Placebonickname@lemmy.world 10 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Who does he think killed Biden? Was it Steve Bannon?

Jonathan Livingston Seagull

Literally just a random seagull

[–] TheFogan@programming.dev 5 points 1 day ago (1 children)

My god, such a horrible conspiracy theory... just on it's face.

LLM's have drastically improved every year. Biden was so blatently on the mental decline.

ChatGPT would have smoked trump in the 2024 debates.

[–] WizardofFrobozz@lemmy.ca 7 points 1 day ago (3 children)

I don’t understand how this guy has been on international news for decades and Americans still don’t understand how he operates and continue to take the things he says at face value.

[–] Furbag@lemmy.world 1 points 21 hours ago (1 children)

The media sanewashes pretty much every word he says and it's infuriating. Trump says stuff daily that would have ended political careers 20 years ago regardless of party affiliation.

[–] WizardofFrobozz@lemmy.ca 1 points 21 hours ago

All this tells me is that in 20 years the opposition hasn’t adjusted their tactics. Talking here about the citizens, not the elected officials you already knew weren’t going to help.

[–] Diplomjodler3@lemmy.world 11 points 1 day ago (3 children)

The corporate press has been working very hard to normalise him for all these years.

[–] AA5B@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

I can remember all of my life the press ridiculing him for his ego and ostentatiousness, remember gold toilets, his name everywhere? I remember when it seemed like every other year he was taking another casino into bankruptcy. I remember continuously complaints where he stiffed employees and contractors, daring them to sue against his team of lawyers who would make it far more expensive than the money owed. I remember allegations of tax fraud over years and decades that somehow never got investigated.

I remember ridicule over the stupid tv show he funded to rehabilitate his image: did that actually work?

I remember the laughing the first time he wanted to run for president, and he crashed in flames as no one would take him seriously as a candidate

How did such a long history of incompetence, self-servicing corruption ever get turned around?

[–] Diplomjodler3@lemmy.world 7 points 1 day ago

Short answer: social media and Russian influence campaigns.

[–] Bonesince1997@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

All of it should implode somewhere, at some point, you would think.

[–] WizardofFrobozz@lemmy.ca -5 points 1 day ago

Have you been working very hard to change that fact?

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 0 points 1 day ago

People here are really fucking dumb
