The working class really has been completely run out of the media in the UK. Probably since you need a degree or whatever now to even get close to a studio

i miss rose tyler. the first few seasons of doctor who stick out to me as the ONLY time i remember seeing people like myself and my family on tv outside of awful judgy reality shows
100%! The BBC used to have a fairly large amount of working-class actors or characters on TV and now it's literally as you said, they're only on TV in modern freak shows. Shows like Porridge or Only Fools and Horses literally wouldn't even get a chance to be pitched now.
