What about this is surprising? The protestors and journalists are unarmed. It's a lot harder to brutalize armed people.
I wonder how long until American journalists are armed for their safety.

The folks protesting in LA are likely not the majority of any given election, especially considering LA's recent elections putting 'tough on crime' ghouls into positions of local power.
