Donald Trump was unhappy with his sparsely attended military parade over the weekend and blamed it on Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, biographer Michael Wolff revealed.

Wolff told The Daily Beast Podcast that Trump wanted a “menacing” show of force to celebrate the Army’s 250th anniversary and his 79th birthday on Saturday—but got a “festive” parade instead.

“He’s p---ed off at the soldiers,” Wolff said. “He’s accusing them of hamming it up, and by that, he seems to mean that they were having a good time, that they were waving, that they were enjoying themselves and showing a convivial face rather than a military face.”

It's so lovely to hear that he's unhappy!

Hopefully it really hurts his fee-fees that he's despised by anyone with a remotely functioning brain

Unfortunately that would take logic. But we'll enjoy his manbaby rage at Drinky Pete anwyay.

I couldn't go. I have bone spurs

[–] some_guy@lemmy.sdf.org 10 points 18 hours ago

His floppy parade was a disappointment? How scandelous.

[–] pelespirit@sh.itjust.works 11 points 19 hours ago

Is this why he's bombing Iran? A city will be destroyed and many people killed because his fee fees were hurt. Hey billionaires and/or republicans, look how he treated Musk, Lindell and Giuliani, just saying.

Add "cause and effect" to the list of things he does not grasp or pretends not to. There wasn't some time lord showing people the parade would be too festive. It's a decision made by birthday party attendees in advance which reflects poorly on his ego so it needs to be blamed on anybody but him.

tbf, if The Doctor shows up at a military parade, I'd be quite alarmed

I don't know what to tell you, Turnip, except what we've been saying all along. Hire a bunch of clowns, expect a circus.

[–] friend_of_satan@lemmy.world 20 points 23 hours ago

What a spoiled baby, whining about how his birthday party didn't live up to his dreams.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 10 points 21 hours ago

LOL, like it's entirely on the drunkard from Faux.

Did donvict want everyone doing a stupid pose like his ridiculous mugshot photo? Or the one he did for his "presidential" photo?

[–] Red0ctober@lemmy.world 23 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Guess he'll be trying to outlaw smiling and looking happy now

[–] Lembot_0003@lemmy.zip 17 points 1 day ago

No need: in 6 months of Trump's rule you will lose the ability to smile by yourself, without any laws.

Having read a couple of Michael Wolff's books, I'm both stunned and unsurprised they're letting him wander around the trumpworld again.

He describes first person accounts of the most horrifying, corrupt, disgusting, pathetic episodes of demented rapist assholery and everybody's like "well it's normal". It's amazing.

How any journalist from a corporate news sewer can read these and then write the toothless dreck they do about this administration is plainly a crime.

For Trump's next birthday, he will sell a parade of NFTs featuring lilly-white AI-generated military warriors with faces so hard it will make his pussy wet.
