I cried a little, yeah. Was touched by how the credits had her drawing alone as the night progresses through the window, for some reason. Not sure what it is about credits like that where the world continues on affects me. Even the Pokemon movies doing it gets me a little emotional.

Oh I definitely cried watching this

In this house, we stan Tatsuki Fujimoto.

Chainsawman is unironically this generations Evangelion. My man’s goated with the sauce, and he has decent politics (which, to be fair, every author his editor publishes has like baseline decent politics so I’m gonna credit Shuhei Lin for cultivating that environment)

If you’re looking for more of Director Oshiyama’s work, he’s also did an anime original magical girl show called Flip-Flappers, if you want to check out more of his animation

Yeah, it's great. If you liked it, I'd highly recommend the manga "Goodbye, Eri" as well. It's by the same mangaka, and while it's a bit more out there, I personally think it's the better of the two.

I will add it to my list. I've not read or watched any Fujimoto work/adaptations other than Lookback here.

I watched a summary/abridged reup. Will watch the whole thing cos it was good

[–] BanSwitch2Buyers@hexbear.net 3 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Like a review? Or what kind of summary/abridgements are people doing for 1-hour movies?

Basically the movie condensed into a 15 minute narrated, subtitled, abridged version. It totally ruins the movie in every way, but even the butchered version brought me to tears and made me want to watch the full thing. I only watched it because it came up on my WeChat feed and I like watching to keep my Mandarin listening skills sharp, and usually the uploads are from the latest slop movies that I don't have any intention of ever watching/don't care if i spoil for myself
