THIS IS FOOD

mix it together to make Filk

[–] Tb0n3@sh.itjust.works 11 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

If you insist so vociferously it makes me suspicious. Is it truly food?

[–] Schorsch@feddit.org 1 points 2 weeks ago

If they don't put it on the bottle you might mistake it for drain cleaner.

[–] Battle_Masker@lemmy.blahaj.zone 9 points 2 weeks ago

I just realized that I replaced the pepsi part of pilk instead of the milk part so it should be pood. or pfood

[–] caseyweederman@lemmy.ca 2 points 2 weeks ago

ah yes breakfast of champions

  • methylphenidate
  • liquid for swallowing methylphenidate
  • something vaguely resembling nutrients so that I'm not taking methylphenidate on an empty stomach
[–] TauZero@mander.xyz 15 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

As NT-master race, had to look it up:

methylphenidate = Ritalin

[–] janus2@lemmy.zip 17 points 2 weeks ago (4 children)

look at this fancy pants able to open their browser and look something up without immediately getting distracted by the 6 tabs they had open earlier!

[–] boonhet@sopuli.xyz 8 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Do people... go back to the tabs they leave open?

[–] janus2@lemmy.zip 9 points 2 weeks ago

only if there's something more important I'm supposed to be doing lol

able to open their browser and look something up without immediately getting distracted by the 6 tabs

That's the methylphenidate talking.

[–] Droggelbecher@lemmy.world 2 points 2 weeks ago

Hahaha yeah it's definitely just 6

(I just checked, it's 19 on my phone, 21 on my laptop and 12 on my work PC)

[–] pinheadednightmare@lemmy.world 20 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

Did you check that expiration date before you drank/ate that?

[–] ChaosCoati@midwest.social 6 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Sniff test then drink. Who’s got the time/patience to play iSpy with the date stamp?

[–] brrt@sh.itjust.works 1 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

The date stamp is visible in the picture. How’s opening and sniffing it faster/more convenient?

[–] ChaosCoati@midwest.social 3 points 2 weeks ago

In this case it is thankfully placed in an obvious spot. I was speaking more in general because they’re not always that easy to find.

[–] SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world 6 points 2 weeks ago
[–] GolfNovemberUniform@infosec.pub 11 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I actually find it hard to believe someone can literally survive with something like that for more than a few months.

[–] Samskara@sh.itjust.works 3 points 2 weeks ago (4 children)

This is more healthy than the average diet.

[–] pwnOrbitals@lemmynsfw.com 8 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I would recemmend reading the book "ultra processed people" to understand why I strongly disagree

[–] Samskara@sh.itjust.works 3 points 2 weeks ago (3 children)

Do you think a burger with fries and a sugary soda would be better?

Actual fresh vegetables, eggs, and brown rice would be healthier of course.

[–] pwnOrbitals@lemmynsfw.com 6 points 2 weeks ago

A burger with fries and coke is not "average diet", not even in the US, lots of research on that

[–] Dindonmasker@sh.itjust.works 4 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Yea comparing a meal that was designed to be fast and nutritious to a meal that's designed purely on how much money it makes with the most addictive and tasty ingredients isn't very equal XD

[–] BakerBagel@midwest.social 3 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I genuinely have no idea which is which in your post. Any mass produced processed food is made to be addicting first and foremost.

[–] Dindonmasker@sh.itjust.works 1 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I don't know that brand of meal replacement but i'd be surprised if it was anywehere near addictive and delicious XD

[–] BakerBagel@midwest.social 1 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

"fast and nutritious" definitely sounds like the 2 things our brains are looking for in a food source. Mixed with a pepsi i would say you might as well just have boxed pancakes and syrup

At least Frank Thelen wouldnt get your money then

[–] gandalf_der_12te@discuss.tchncs.de 2 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

genuinely, toss in some starchy bread and maybe fruit in there, please. your gut will thank you.

[–] AlteredEgo@lemmy.ml 2 points 2 weeks ago

It's already supposed to be a balanced diet with fiber and protein, wouldn't bread throw off the balance?

[–] Zoomboingding@lemmy.world 2 points 2 weeks ago

I mentioned Soylent a while back and someone commented that it was slop. I guess people just aren't into that.

[–] Doc_Crankenstein@slrpnk.net 9 points 2 weeks ago

Better than the alternative of simply not eating anything.

Some nutrition is better than no nutrition.

[–] Droggelbecher@lemmy.world 9 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

Felt prompted to share my lunch. Feeling healthy (yes one of the pills is MP as well).

[–] Samskara@sh.itjust.works 2 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)
[–] Droggelbecher@lemmy.world 3 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago) (1 children)

The capsule is the MP, the lengthy one is escitalopram (an SSRI antidepressant), the round ones are thyrostatics, for my autoimmune hyperthyroidism.

[–] Samskara@sh.itjust.works 3 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Does this combination work for you? Have you tried an SNRI like venlafaxin?

[–] Droggelbecher@lemmy.world 3 points 2 weeks ago

It works really well for me! Since I've been on both, my mood has been ok almost every day, for the first time since puberty (10-15 years ago). Psych said that's a known effect of this exact combo.

[–] Ibuthyr@feddit.org 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Hope that's decaf. Methylphenidate and caffeine really don't mix well.

[–] Droggelbecher@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I've had zero issues and my psych hadn't said anything either

[–] Ibuthyr@feddit.org 1 points 1 week ago

Lucky you! I'm just getting started so I'm not allowed to drink caffeine as it would falsify the effects. The "manual" (Packungsbeilage in German) also says that caffeine can have an adverse effect, making you completely jittery and unable to concentrate. But every person is different and you lucked out I suppose.

[–] Jesus_666@lemmy.world 6 points 2 weeks ago

I wouldn't call that a good foundation for a diet.

yFood kinda sucks taste-wise IMO and I think meal replacement shakes from a sports nutrition company offer a better bang for the buck. (Plus the whole thing where Nestlé owns a share of the company these days.)

[–] daggermoon@lemmy.world 5 points 2 weeks ago

Zero Zucker

[–] helix@feddit.org 5 points 2 weeks ago

I'm in this picture and I don't like it

[–] Diplomjodler3@lemmy.world 4 points 2 weeks ago
[–] SalamenceFury@lemmy.world 4 points 2 weeks ago

A diet of soda pop and ritalin, eh?

[–] FreshLight@sh.itjust.works 4 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago) (1 children)

Enjoy your diarrhea and (assuming you have male genitalia) your hiding dick.

Also: Vanille schmeckt mir am besten.

[–] Droggelbecher@lemmy.world 5 points 2 weeks ago

My brain broke deciding whether it was the English or German word 'also'

[–] gandalf_der_12te@discuss.tchncs.de 3 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

U might want to change that pepsi for some bananas or baked stuff. Like, fruit cake is excellent. And cheap at the local market. :)
