Post CP, probably*

disclaimer

*not recommended

People who wanted to 'detox' from the chans used to do it, and if it works there it works anywhere! Well, besides certain governmental and clerical group chats, I guess. πŸ™ƒ

I don't think it would be any faster than just posting obvious spam.

As a mod, I usually have some restraint regarding bans, but blatant violations such as CP or spam are basically just down to awareness and reaction.

I mod a few popular communities, and I haven't seen CP yet. It's mostly the occasional spam and people who are still incapable of self regulating.

Threaten to murder the admins/moderators

By going to a tankie community on a tankie instance and air your opinion on the Soviet Union or ~~church name~~ China (ducking autocorrect) while citing sources

You can even get banned by the head Lemmy dev if you do that on any .ml instance lmao

Drop the N bomb. And I don't mean nuclear.

Unless it's actually a racist community... Then I guess you'd have to swap it for Black Lives Matter or some form of "I will punch nazis in the face."

Spam is the most universal one. No platform likes spam, regardless of their user base.

[–] Bonifratz@sh.itjust.works 4 points 1 day ago

This is the correct answer. Larger platforms will have some kind of automatic spam filter which autobans accounts that spampost e.g. random links. Any kind of content-related ban often takes slightly longer, because you have to hit the right keywords and a human may have to rubber-stamp it.

Saw someone earlier impersonating an admin (poorly).

That could be a tricky one to detect, lots of people (including OP) have accounts on different servers.

A simple request is sufficient, I'm only a moderator, but I'm happy to accommodate a request :)

If we’re taking .ml, just be honest about communism, provide proof, and within moments one of the coward admins will appear and ban you for life.

Go to a conservative community and they might make you a mod for that behavior!

Posting Israeli propaganda usually gets someone banned pretty quickly...

Not really related, but I did a complete 180 on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Back in the early months of the conflict I posted a comment here suggesting that bombing in Gaza was targeting Hamas strategic targets and there was evidence of "roof knocking" to warn innocent occupants of an incoming attack. I didn't realize how naive I was at the time parroting propaganda. If people hadn't continued posting evidence of the IDF and their genocide/war crimes I wouldn't have known any better.
