two ways I like those (sauce, as the base layer is always the same) - mint infused whipped cream with fresh strawberries, and salted caramel with chopped candied pecans.
I went savory with peas and mushrooms in thyme sauce, but those sound like great sweet options.
you know, I've never tried savory! I will give it a try next time, thanks for the suggestion!
