In memmy specifically, tap search on the bottom bar, enter a search term, then tap search communities.

Something weird going on there. !news@lemmy.world does not appear in the lemmy search results (ios version), even though it has 12k subscribers and plenty of posts. Turkey_news for example does show up but does not even appear to have any posts.
Right, that's what I'm doing. But !news@lemmy.world isn't in the list when searching. And if I search for "!news" under communities, the list is empty, there's no result.
Hi there! Looks like you linked to a Lemmy community using a URL instead of its name, which doesn't work well for people on different instances. Try fixing it like this: !news@lemmy.world
I’m in the Memmy app in the Memmy community and that link doesn’t work. The one in the OP is fine.
I just stumbled upon this myself. You can go to a specific community by writing it in search and clicking communities. E.g linux@lemmy.ml
