I've noticed quite a lot of new accounts popping up recently, wondering if something new happened over at Orange Alien HQ or maybe is this just normal growth?

Dunno about others but I wanted my fix of random scrolling again after RIF died, tried the Reddit app and it was such a horrible experience it motivated me to actively look for something else, so searched for replacements and here I am.

Maybe others are doing the same.

I landed on boost for some reason and it reminds me of RIF so I'm happy but I'll take a look at the others too, thanks!

I personally use Thunder and I love it. I tried all other apps too but they never quite clicked completely with me. Have a good search!

I'm here from RIF Is Fun (for Reddit) too. I miss my niche subreddits but the memes here are good enough.

I think it's normal growth + some federation issues being resolved?

I don't think anything imploded Reddit side recently

I checked out Lemmy a longtime ago and went back to Reddit then API changes happened so I just went cold turkey for a while. Lemmy apps started to get good and content is starting to take off. Feels a lot like the old Digg and Reddit days here right now. Few things need to get resolved with Lemmy like making it easier for registering new people. Like having a generic server for people to join and get started. An option to change servers would be very nice at some point too once people kind of figure things out. Once a handful of things get sorted out and streamlined I think we will see a lot of growth
